MR ALAN THOMPSON
There are many aspects of St Andrew’s that must never change. The deep bonds of community, the tremendous traditions, the Houses and their unique character, its lived Christian values, and the deep passion that boys, families and staff hold for the school are all of enormous significance.
But respecting the past is not the same as living in it and there remains so much to be done. Good enough is simply not good enough. We owe it to current and future Andreans to ensure that we provide world-class educational facilities to enable the boys to compete successfully in an increasingly complex and competitive world.
We have defined a set of goals that continue building an attitude of excellence of College. We remain focussed on our #AcademicExcellence programme and look forward to the completion of Phase 3 (the Norton Block) this year amongst a host of other building projects. Of course, true academic excellence is a bigger task than a physical re-build, and we are working tirelessly to further grow our academic success, that every boy is able to flourish according to his own unique giftedness.
I pray that we remain true to God's purpose for this school and that we may honour God in all that we do at College.
